These businesses and community members have shown up to give their time, share their products, given financial contributions and spread additional supportive advocacy for mental and wellness. The generosity has naturally flowed into Heart & Soul Yoga and created a community that would not be possible without these efforts. It is because of these amazing people that Heart & Soul has been able to strengthen the Whittier community as a whole. When we support each other, we create a community that fosters hope. For this we thank you!

Elisa Yasutomi, Whittier

Speaker for our community meditation and yoga session dedicated to educators in Whittier
Dedicated to our hard working educators, who have gone through a huge shift due to Covid-19. This session offered gratitude, sharing and listening. Elisa, a Whittier native shares the stress and fears that her peers and colleagues have been faced with as they tried to juggle new ways to teach, stay inspired, continue to motivate and still continue to take care of themselves. This emotional conversation also brought to light the positive revelations that have been discovered during our "stay home" orders. Most importantly, it was a reminder of how mental and emotional health is a responsibility that needs to be taken serious during these times. Where there is support, there is healing.
